2. Hosting and server logs

The website is hosted by IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Str. 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany. When you visit, the server automatically stores technical data: IP address, date and time, page requested, referrer and browser. This is necessary to deliver the site securely (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Log files are deleted after a short period. A data processing agreement is in place with IONOS.

3. No cookies, no tracking

We do not use cookies or any analytics or advertising services. Fonts are hosted on our own server. So that the live weather data does not reload on every page, your browser keeps it in session storage until you close the tab. No personal data is stored.

4. Live weather data

Our server fetches wind and weather data from the Spanish weather agency AEMET (opendata.aemet.es) or the Norwegian weather service MET Norway (api.met.no) and passes it to your browser. No data about you is sent to these services.

5. Contact form, email, phone and WhatsApp

When you write or call us, we process your details to answer your request and prepare a booking (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). We delete them when they are no longer needed and no statutory retention periods apply.

When you submit the contact form, your details (name, email, optionally phone, travel dates, interest, level and message) are sent via our web server at IONOS as an email to our inbox. The website does not store them in a database. To prevent spam, the server keeps an encrypted value (hash) of your IP address for up to one hour. The legal basis is your consent and pre-contractual steps (Art. 6(1)(a) and (b) GDPR). You can withdraw your consent at any time by email.

The “Use WhatsApp instead” button does not send anything to our server. It opens WhatsApp with a pre-filled message that you send yourself. From then on, the privacy policy of WhatsApp Ireland Ltd. applies, and data may be transferred to the USA.

6. Links to other services

Links to Instagram, Google Maps, Windfinder, Windy and our online shop are ordinary links. No data reaches these providers until you click them; their privacy policies then apply.

7. Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. Just email office@tarifasurfclub.com. You can also complain to a data protection authority; in Spain, the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (aepd.es).
